As he did so, the gun somehow went off and the charge inflicted fatal injuries. One of Santini's best friends *, Allen Kelly (FMHS 1943), received similar fatal injuries, near Fort Myers Beach almost three months ago to the day. Santini was a member of last year's Green Wave boxing team. The boy is survived by his parents, two brothers, Grinnell (FMHS 1930) and Elmo Santini (FMHS 1930), and three sisters, Mrs. (June Armeda Santini) S. J. Johnson (FMHS 1932), and Blanche (FMHS 1947) and Frances Santini (FMHS 1949). He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral arrangements will be in charge of Lawrence A. Powell and will be announced later. * Corrections by submitter, Leonard was 19 years old at the time.
